Jakarta (12/1) – Indonesia Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries together with Finance Minister held Press Conference this morning, due 116,5 Kilogram Illegal Pearl Export to Hong Kong has rejected from Indonesian Main Harbor Of Tanjung Priok Port to Hongkong.

 

As known on December 2, 2015, CV. SBP filed Export Declaration Form (PEB) such presented as BEADS which packaged in 5  wooden box  with a gross weight of 116.5 kilograms. The delivery of using consolidators services (LCL), meaning that in one container there are multiple senders to multiple consignees abroad.

 

Furthermore, based on information from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) and intelligence analysis results, the existence of the offense of forgery of export documents. The indication that the goods do not conform to the PEB. Following up on the information, published Memorandum of Intelligence (NHI) and performed a physical examination and laboratory tests by the Center for Testing Identification of Goods (BPIB). BPIB laboratory test results come out and stated that the item is a pearl cultivation of marine species (unprocessed).

 

Based on the results of laboratory tests of BPIB, conducted the prosecution and investigation of alleged offenses in violation of Law No. 17 of 2006 on the Amendment Act No. 10 of 1995 on Customs, thus the State Loss valued at 45 billion rupiah rescued and immaterial loss posed is not the development of national pearl industry, because raw materials are smuggled abroad.

 

Current Research being conducted jointly by the Customs and CTF regarding this case. If found customs criminal act, the case will be upgraded to the investigation stage. These Repression has been done is in line with the Indonesian President, Joko Widodo instruction in order Customs to the law enforce by optimizing the integrated risk management together with institutions / agencies such as the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia.
